Accessorizing
As any anxious introvert will tell you, a good tea mug is a vital accessory. A good mug is perfect for those days when you need that extra boost of energy to make it through the front door or those nights when you just wonder if you can consume enough chamomile to get you to sleep at a reasonable hour. Here's a selection of my favorites, accumulated from various travels and adventures.
"Stop working, start traveling" - I got this mug at a hostel in Jerusalem. It's a good reminder to keep adventuring, even when the furthest out of the house I can make it is the back porch.
"Come, let us have some tea and continue to talk about happy things" - this is my favorite mug from when I worked at Teavana. Positive conversation can certainly boost one's mood, if you can hear it over the din of your brain's deafening clamor.
"Have a nice day!" - purchased at a dollar store in Tokyo. This one is just taunting me.
Mental health struggles can make it hard to even fathom interacting with the outside world. Don't push yourself unhealthily far, but do remember that there's a whole slew of people outside who would love to interact with you. Reach out for some low-key hangouts like watching a movie, doing some crafts, or even just quietly working on independent projects side-by-side. Take all the solo time you need, but remember that you don't have to be alone.
